Of the calcium salts, citrate is the pricier one, but it dissolves in water without help from stomach acid. Calcium Citrate + D3 by NutriWorks is an instant powder, and one level 3.2 g scoop delivers 500 mg of calcium along with 5 µg of vitamin D3.
That pairing is not an accident. Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones and vitamin D contributes to normal absorption and utilisation of calcium. That is exactly why cholecalciferol gets added to calcium products, and not the other way round.
