How to choose training equipment
Band resistance, pack contents and the differences between home training accessories.
How do Venum Challenger band resistance levels differ?
The range has five levels: red 5–11 kg, black 11–22 kg, purple 22–34 kg, green 45–55 kg and blue 55–80 kg. These are the resistance ranges stated by the manufacturer. Compare colours within the Challenger range; another brand may use the same colour for a different resistance. Each band is sold individually, rather than as a set of all colours.
What should I choose for conditioning and for punching accuracy?
A skipping rope is for repeated jumps and rhythm work. A reflex ball is designed for hand-eye coordination and timing punches as the ball returns. Choose according to what you want to practise; compact pack size does not mean that both accessories can be used in the same training space.
Do I need to buy anything else to use the reflex ball?
The Venum Reflex Ball includes 2 rubber balls with different resistance levels and an adjustable headband with a hook-and-loop fastening. An elastic cord connects the ball to the headband, so you do not need a ceiling mount or a punch bag. It is an accuracy and coordination accessory; it does not replace a bag for power punches.
What is the difference between push-up handles and an ab wheel?
Push-Up Handles are fixed supports that you grip during push-ups; Venum supplies them as a pair. An Abs Wheel rolls during the exercise and needs space in front of your body. Choose according to the exercise and available floor space. The wheel is not a support for ordinary push-ups, and both accessories need a stable, non-slip surface.
What should I check before buying a skipping rope for home use?
Check length adjustment, rope type and clearance overhead and around you. Katana Rope BJP is a beaded rope, and the offer includes a video guide to adjusting its length. You can find adjustment advice and differences between rope types in Skipping ropes; do not estimate the length from a product photo alone.
