How to choose socks
Choose the right height, material and size, and check how many pairs you are buying.
Which sock height should I choose for my shoes?
BJP ankle socks and Core ankle socks sit low around the ankle, while high Core and MONOLITH socks cover more of the leg. Venum Vector Crew socks extend above the ankle; Vector Over-the-Calf have a longer cut over the calf.
Consider the edge of your shoe too: where the upper touches your leg as you walk, the sock cuff should not slip inside. For higher footwear, compare the sock length with the height of the upper; colour or a logo alone does not tell you the height.
How do cotton and sports models differ?
Core and MONOLITH are cotton-based, while the high BJP sports socks use polyamide and elastane. The original ankle socks with the BJP logo contain 80% cotton, 15% polyamide and 5% elastane. The same logo does not always mean the same material.
If you prefer cotton, compare Core, MONOLITH and the cotton blends. For a close-fitting sports construction, look at the high BJP sports socks; Venum describes Vector as quick-drying training socks. Check the size and fit of each model separately.
What is terry cushioning, and when should I choose it?
These socks have a softer looped texture on the inside. You will find this construction in BJP Simple, white/black and high BJP 2.0 socks, which combine cotton, elastane and polyester.
The inner terry adds a softer layer between your foot and shoe. When trying them on, consider the space in your footwear too: a thicker sock can feel uncomfortable in a tight shoe. Try it with the shoes you will actually wear it in.
How do I choose between S/M, L/XL and Venum sizes?
Use your foot size and the individual model's size chart, where available. BJP mainly uses S/M and L/XL here, while Venum Vector has separate S, M, L and XL sizes. These letters cannot automatically be treated as equivalent across brands.
The sock heel should sit over your heel, without fabric bunching around your toes or under your foot. If the chosen model has no conversion to EU shoe sizes, send us the model name and your usual shoe size. Do not estimate the range from the S/M label alone.
Am I buying one pair or a whole pack?
For versions labelled as a pack of 3 pairs, you are buying three pairs of the same model in your chosen size. BJP Simple, white/black, high BJP 2.0 and high BJP sports socks are examples available as single pairs or packs of three.
The Venum Vector Crew and Over-the-Calf models offered here contain one pair. The quantity in your basket refers to the number of packs: adding a three-pair pack and leaving the quantity at one gives you three pairs of socks.
What temperature should I wash socks at, and can I tumble dry them?
The temperature depends on the range. Core and the original ankle and high socks with the BJP logo specify 40 °C. MONOLITH, BJP 2.0, Simple, white/black, high BJP sports socks and Venum Vector specify 30 °C.
For the models listed, skip the tumble dryer and do not iron. Wash the terry-cushioned models and high BJP sports socks without fabric softener too. Always check the label; when washing several ranges together, use a programme suitable for the one with the lower permitted temperature as well.
