Kids’ Supplements
Choose children’s supplements by age, ingredients and the exact dose. This range includes vitamin drops, powders, syrup, capsules, chewable tablets and a plant-based omega oil. Age limits and concentrations vary between products, so the same number of drops may not provide the same dose.

How to choose a supplement for a child
Age limits, measuring doses and avoiding duplicate nutrients.
Are all children’s drops suitable for babies?
No. The descriptions list ViridiKid Baby Vitamin Drops from 6 months, Puravia Natural Vitamin C from 1 year and Nordbo Elderberry Kids from 3 years. A children’s name or liquid format does not mean they share an age limit. Choose a specific product and dose for a baby with their paediatrician, taking other supplements and nutrients from infant formula into account.
Can I keep the same number of D3 drops when switching brands?
Compare the concentration first. Puravia D3 for children in olive oil lists 400 IU (10 µg) in 1 drop, the vegan Puravia version in 2 drops, and Viridikid Vitamin D Drops in 0.5 ml. These are content figures, not a shared dose for every age. Use the measuring device or dropper supplied for that product; do not estimate a conversion from millilitres to drops.
What can I choose if my child cannot swallow a capsule?
Syrup is not the only option. ViridiKid Multivitamin 150 capsules can be opened and the contents mixed into cold food or a drink. Children’s Synerbio is a powder with its own scoop and can also be added to cold food. Do not assume every capsule can be used this way. Choose a small amount of food your child will finish and observe the age limit for the selected product.
What should I check when combining a multivitamin, D3 and probiotics?
List the contents of every daily serving, not just the names on the front. Nordbo Vitamin D3, C & Zink Kids already supplies D3, C and zinc; Children’s Synerbio adds vitamin C alongside bacteria. Extra drops can duplicate these nutrients. Check the need and combined amount with your child’s paediatrician, especially for vitamin D. You can also compare ingredients in Vitamins & Minerals.
Is a children’s plant-based omega oil the same as fish oil with DHA?
Compare the individual fatty acids. Viridikid Omega 3 Oil contains a blend of plant oils and primarily lists ALA in its table; DHA and EPA are not declared there. The word omega alone does not establish the same contents as a fish or algae oil with DHA. If you specifically need DHA, check its amount per serving and whether that product is suitable for your child’s age.
Do all children’s supplements need refrigerating after opening?
Instructions vary. Viridikid Omega 3 Oil must be refrigerated after opening and used within 6 weeks. ViridiKid Baby Vitamin Drops specify refrigeration and use within 6 months after opening. Children’s Synerbio does not require refrigeration. Write the opening date on the bottle and also respect the best-before date. Keep every supplement out of children’s reach.
