How to choose a women's sweatshirt or sports layer
Cropped and longer fits, zip-up hoodies, Pulse and matching Core separates.
How do The Energy and The Power sweatshirts differ?
The Energy has a shorter body, a looser upper section and dropped shoulders. The long The Power extends over the hips and has wide sleeves. Both are pullovers with a round neckline and no hood.
Blue and butter-coloured The Energy and black The Power specify 85% organic combed cotton and 15% recycled polyester. Choose mainly by the length you want; a loose sweatshirt is not necessarily a long one.
A Core zip-up hoodie or the Pulse sports jacket?
Cropped Core is a shorter hooded sweatshirt in 52% cotton and 48% polyester at 320 g/m². The full-length zip makes it easy to adjust your layers. Its cut leaves the hips uncovered.
Pulse is a close-fitting sports layer in 80% nylon and 20% elastane. It has a higher collar, thumbholes and zipped side pockets. For warming up, choose by the stretch and coverage you need, not just because both models have a zip.
Are all women's sweatshirts loose-fitting?
No. UFC Fusion by Venum Fight Week in Oceanic Blue has a slim fit. The Energy and the long The Power are looser. Do not automatically transfer a size letter between brands and cuts.
Compare chest measurements, body length and sleeve length using the model's diagram. Try it on with the T-shirt you intend to wear underneath and stretch your arms out in front. A dropped-shoulder sleeve may start in a different place from a conventional sleeve.
Is Pulse a rain jacket?
Pulse's description confirms stretch and breathability, not waterproofing. Nylon with elastane, a higher collar and the word “jacket” do not by themselves guarantee protection from rain.
Treat it as a sports layer for warming up and getting to or from training. If you need rain protection, check that the manufacturer specifically confirms it for your outer layer, including its seams and zips.
Can I put together a women's Core set?
Yes. Women's Core joggers are available to match the black and beige cropped hoodies. Both pieces specify 52% cotton and 48% polyester at 320 g/m².
Core joggers have a high waist and looser legs. Choose the top and bottom sizes separately using their measurements. When trying them on, check that you like how the cropped hem meets the waistband, including when you raise your arms.
How should I wash the sweatshirts, and which must not be ironed?
Follow the particular model's instructions. UFC Fusion Oceanic Blue and Pulse must not be ironed or tumble dried. Black Core allows low-temperature ironing away from the embroidery. The Energy and The Power allow a low setting away from the lettering.
These models specify washing at 30°C; wash BJP pieces inside out as directed on the label. Fasten zips and wash with similar colours. Pulse also explicitly prohibits fabric softener. One care routine therefore does not apply to every fabric.
