D-mannose and cranberry by Dr. Mercola is a food supplement in capsule form that pairs 1000 mg of D-mannose with 400 mg of organic cranberry extract in a daily serving of two capsules. Both ingredients sit together in one pack instead of two separate bottles.
D-mannose is a simple sugar that occurs naturally in cranberries and apples, among other fruit. The cranberry extract comes from the berries of Vaccinium macrocarpon and carries type A proanthocyanidins, which differ structurally from the type B proanthocyanidins common in other fruit.
