Sodium and chloride make up most of what goes into one serving of Electrolyte Worx. This electrolyte drink by NutriWorks carries 480 mg and 720 mg of them in five grams of powder, along with potassium, calcium, magnesium and 100 mg of vitamin C, in a berry and lemon flavour.
The ratio is therefore built around the two minerals sweat carries most of. Rounding it out are 125 mg of potassium, 100 mg of calcium and 50 mg of magnesium. The vitamin C in a serving comes to 125% of the nutrient reference value. Vitamin C contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Sweetening comes purely from steviol glycosides and the colour from beetroot betanin, so you will not find aspartame, sucralose or a synthetic dye here. The powder dissolves on contact and the taste leans tart thanks to citric and malic acid. You mix five grams into half a litre of water, and the 300 g tub, filled at the Finnish and Swedish plants, covers 60 servings.
