What is A2 milk?

A2 milk comes from cows, goats, sheep, or buffalo with the A2-A2 genotype. Unlike the more common A1 β-casein found in most modern dairy, A2 β-casein is structurally closer to the protein in human milk, which is why it’s often better tolerated. Goat milk is naturally high in A2 casein and has a higher proportion of short- and medium-chain amino acids, making it easier to digest for many people.
