Blueberry keeps Instant Mass drinkable on the second serving of the day, the point at which cocoa powders start to feel heavy. Underneath the fruit flavour sits a straightforward carbohydrate and protein gainer for athletes who need to put on mass and cannot get there from ordinary meals.

The 300 g daily dose delivers 60 g of protein, 203 g of carbohydrate and 4756 kJ / 1121 kcal. The protein does not rest on a single source: whey concentrate, hydrolysate, micellar casein and native whey all contribute. Sugars come to 15 g across the whole daily dose; the rest of the carbohydrate is maltodextrin and oat flour.

The 5.4 kg tub holds 36 servings of 150 g. At the full daily dose, meaning two servings, that is 18 days.

• 36 servings per tub – 5.4 kg covers 18 days at the full daily dose, or 36 days on one serving a day.

Dosage

Mix 150 g, one level 250ml scoop, into 350 ml of water in a shaker or blender and drink it straight away. The full daily dose is two servings, 300 g in total, and every figure in the table refers to that amount. If you are new to mass gainers, stay on one serving a day for the first fortnight and add the second one only once your digestion is comfortable with it. The best slots are straight after training and roughly 45 to 60 minutes before bed.
