This kind of pad has one job: speed. These are not big boxing pads for heavy shots but flat paddles the coach holds by the handle and moves into the path of the punch. The feedback is immediate and loud, which makes them good for timing and reaction work.

The surface is grained PU leather and the padding is foam compressed into a single dense slab. They are hand stitched, and Joya builds them for heavy use, meaning classes where the pads pass between people all evening.

A practical note: paddles are light, so a coach lasts longer holding them than with full pads, and they take almost no room in a bag. Supplied as a pair.

Use

Take the paddle by the handle and move it into the path of the punch with short movements, not by driving it against the fist. They are made for fast series and technical drills, not for full-contact power work; that belongs on full pads or the bag.

Care and lifespan

Wipe the paddles after class and let them dry outside the bag. Never a washing machine. Replace them once the foam stops springing back or the seam at the handle starts lifting.
