Most whey on the market starts with industrial milk from intensive herds. This one starts with cows that spend more than 300 days a year on pasture, and a 30 g scoop shaken into cold water gives you roughly 25 g of protein from them. MyoTec 100% Grass Fed Whey is a whey protein isolate made from Carbery Grass Fed 300+ milk, sourced from family farms in Ireland where the whole chain from milk to finished raw material is audited under the Origin Green programme.

Pasture-fed milk is the point. Cows fed grass rather than maize silage and feed premixes give milk with a different taste and a higher content of essential amino acids, and the isolate keeps that profile: 26.87 g of BCAA per 100 g of protein, including 11.17 g of leucine. The protein is isolated by gentle cross-flow microfiltration and sweetened only with steviol glycosides from the stevia plant, never sucralose.

The Natural Milk flavour carries 87 % protein, Farm Chocolate 82 %. Both are GMO-free, rBGH/rBST-free, 100 % European in origin and packed in fully recyclable packaging. Research by the Irish agency Teagasc puts more than 90 % of the cows' diet in the Origin Green programme down to grass.

Composition

How to use

Mix 30 g (1 scoop) with 200 ml of cold water or low-fat milk in a blender or shaker for 30 seconds. Take 2 to 3 servings a day between meals, depending on your daily protein needs.
