Natto is fermented soya, an everyday breakfast in Japan, and nattokinase is the enzyme produced during that fermentation. NutriWorks puts it into a capsule standardised to 2000 FU, meaning a precisely defined enzyme activity.

With nattokinase the FU figure (fibrinolytic units) tells you more than the milligram weight, because it describes enzyme activity rather than the mass of powder. Here 2000 FU corresponds to 100 mg of nattokinase in one capsule.

At the Finnish and Swedish plants the enzyme is sealed into a vegetarian capsule of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and the ingredient list stays short.

Directions

Take 1 to 2 capsules a day, ideally with a meal. At two capsules the daily activity comes to 4000 FU.
