Donkey milk from Terceira in the Azores, unpasteurised and cryodesiccated, which is the gentlest form of freeze-drying. Only the water leaves the milk, by sublimation, and what stays behind is a loose golden powder. Stir it into water and you have milk again, this time with a shelf life fresh milk never gets.

The jennies are kept by Asinus Atlanticus and graze Atlantic pasture 365 days a year, with no pesticides, no herbicides and no GMO feed. The milk carries organic certification PT-BIO-03 and CZ-BIO-002 and is filled into dark violet Miron glass rather than plastic. Adam Raw is the exclusive distributor for Asinus Atlanticus in Czechia and Slovakia.

Donkey milk has been drunk since antiquity, in Egypt, Greece and Rome. Stir the powder into water for milk, blend it into a smoothie, or simply let it dissolve on your tongue. The flavour is mild and faintly sweet, nothing strong enough to take over the rest of your breakfast. You choose from three sizes: 150, 300 and 900 g.

Dosage

Tip the powder onto a spoon, let it mix with saliva in your mouth and swallow without washing it down. Have your drink a while later. The other route is to reconstitute it: stir the powder into water at the ratio given on the label. Use clean filtered water with a neutral to alkaline pH, not acidic or heavily chlorinated water.
