From October to April the sun sits too low at our latitudes for skin to produce any meaningful amount of vitamin D. This Nordbo capsule covers exactly that window: 50 µg, that is 2000 IU of vitamin D3 from lichen, a vegan source rather than lanolin from sheep wool.
Alongside it you get 300 mg of vitamin C as calcium ascorbate, a pH neutral form the stomach tolerates even on an empty stomach, and 10 mg of zinc as zinc picolinate in a chelated bond. The MCT oil from coconut inside the capsule acts as a fat matrix, because vitamin D is absorbed together with fat.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Dosage
Take 1 capsule a day with food. The fat in a meal helps vitamin D absorption. The pack holds 90 doses, roughly three months.
