Wild Cod Collagen is a hydrolysed type I fish collagen in the flavoured version with wild strawberry. The raw material comes from wild-caught fish rather than aquaculture. The flavour is strawberry with a tart edge from the acerola and malic acid, so even in plain water it drinks more like a fruit squash than a supplement.
One serving is two scoops, that is 20 grams, stirred into 300 ml of water, juice, milk or a smoothie. The powder dissolves quickly and leaves no sediment, and you can split the serving across the day. A 500 g pack holds 25 servings, each of them with 17 g of protein.
The flavoured version also contains acerola extract, a natural source of vitamin C. One daily serving delivers 200 mg, which is 250 % of the nutrient reference value. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin and vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It is sweetened with stevia, so a serving carries only 0.1 g of sugars.
