A gel toothpaste with Korean 9X purple bamboo salt, green tea extract and a mint flavour from peppermint essential oil. A 160g tube, made in South Korea. Free from fluoride, parabens, triclosan and artificial sweeteners.

The formula was developed by the Korean brand INSAN, the same house behind the nine-times-roasted bamboo salt. That salt is the lead ingredient here too and gives the paste its characteristic saline edge, which takes a couple of brushes to get used to. Green tea extract and plant essences round out the recipe.

The formula leaves out fluoride, parabens and triclosan, and it is sweetened with xylitol and steviol glycosides rather than artificial sweeteners. It is gluten free as well. The flavour is mint, the texture is gel, and a 160g tube goes a long way at two brushes a day.

How to use it

Brush twice a day after meals with whichever brush suits you. Apply the usual amount of paste and brush as you normally would.

Warnings

For cleaning teeth only, not for consumption. Not intended for children, keep out of their reach. The formula contains chitosan, which is commonly derived from crustaceans, so do not use this paste if you are allergic to crustaceans. Stop using it if irritation of the gums or oral mucosa appears. Best before date is printed on the pack.
