Purple chocolate, and the colour is not added. Molecules™ is made from Chuncho cacao beans that carry the purple pigment in the bean itself. Naive ferments and dries them to its own protocol and keeps the temperature as low as the process allows, so the finished bar stays deep violet and tastes nothing like a standard dark bar.
The cacao comes from the valley below Machu Picchu in Peru, where the Andes drop into rainforest. Chuncho is an old landrace, an heirloom cacao, and its flavour leans towards citrus rather than the usual cocoa bitterness: lemon, lemon peel, mastic and a cool note close to plain white ice cream. There is no sugar in the recipe, only erythritol, so the first impression is not sweetness and the bean gets room to speak.
It works with coffee and it rewards slow tasting in small pieces. It also makes a good gift for anyone who thinks they have tasted every chocolate there is.

How to enjoy it
Break off a small piece and let it melt slowly on the tongue so the full flavour arc has time to develop. Eaten that way a 50 g bar lasts several days. It tastes best at room temperature, so take it out of the cold a while before you open it.

Important information
Sweetened with erythritol. Excessive consumption of polyols may have a laxative effect. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The best before date is printed on the pack.

Naive: bean-to-bar chocolate from Lithuania that treats cacao like wine
Naive is a small Lithuanian chocolate maker with an unusual approach. Rather than forcing every bean into the same recipe, the team analyses each cacao lot for taste, colour, aroma and texture and only then decides how to roast, grind and finish it. The goal is to reveal the character of that specific bean, not to hide it under sugar and vanilla.
The results have put Lithuania on the map of fine chocolate and earned Naive a reputation as one of the rising names in the craft chocolate world.
