KORU RAW Manuka MGO 1000+ goes past the 800+ mark that is usually treated as the ceiling for premium manuka honey. It is certified at no less than 1,000 mg of methylglyoxal per kilogram and is jarred raw, neither pasteurised nor refined.
The flavour carries subtle hints of liqueur and a light finish of ripe fruit over a thick caramel base. This is honey you eat by the small teaspoon rather than the tablespoon, which is why a 250 g jar lasts.
Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium) flowers in New Zealand for only a few weeks a year, and the higher the MGO grade, the less of that honey a season yields. KORU therefore has every batch tested separately by an independent laboratory and jars it exclusively in the country of origin, where the monofloral manuka grading is supervised by MPI.

How to use
A usual serving is one teaspoon a day, straight off the spoon, stirred into warm water or milk, or spooned over yoghurt and toast. Do not stir it into hot drinks, heat strips the aroma and changes the texture. Manuka is thick and slow to pour, so give it a moment. A 250 g jar gives you roughly 35 servings of 7 g.
