KORU RAW Manuka MGO 1200+ is among the highest graded manuka honeys you can buy. Certification confirms at least 1,200 mg of methylglyoxal per kilogram. The honey is raw, monofloral and jarred in glass in New Zealand itself.

The aroma is strongly caramelled, the body rich and mineral, and the finish carries limestone notes. MGO grades this high only come out of exceptional seasons and the most remote stands of wild manuka, so availability is limited by nature.

The hives sit in places you can realistically reach only by helicopter, and the honey is harvested by hand using traditional beekeeping methods. Every batch passes through an independent laboratory and is jarred in the country of origin under New Zealand MPI oversight. A grade this high gets treated more like a spice than a sweetener, one teaspoon a day and the jar keeps going for weeks.

How to use

A usual serving is one teaspoon a day, straight off the spoon, stirred into warm water or milk, or spooned over yoghurt and toast. Do not stir it into hot drinks, heat strips the aroma and changes the texture. Manuka is thick and slow to pour, so give it a moment. A 250 g jar gives you roughly 35 servings of 7 g.
