KORU RAW Manuka Honey, MGO 1500+, 250 g
Product detailed description
KORU RAW Manuka MGO 1500+ is the top grade of the whole range. The certified content is at least 1,500 mg of methylglyoxal per kilogram, a figure that rarely reaches the market.
The flavour is silky and caramelled, with an intensity the lower grades do not have. The honey is thick, almost jelly like, and a small spoonful goes a long way. The first limited KORU MGO 1500+ batch came from 137 kg of honey harvested in 2019 and stretched to only 500 individually numbered jars worldwide.
Manuka flowers for a few weeks a year, and honey at this grade comes down to a handful of sites and a lucky season. KORU harvests by hand, tests every batch at an independent laboratory and jars the honey in New Zealand under MPI oversight. The jar sits inside a rigid box that shields it from light and makes the honey an easy gift.
Key benefits
- MGO 1500+ – certified content of at least 1,500 mg of methylglyoxal per kilogram, verified by an independent laboratory.
- Raw quality – the honey is neither pasteurised nor refined, no heat from the comb to the jar.
- Monofloral, not a blend – manuka blossom only (Leptospermum scoparium), never a mix of several honeys.
- New Zealand origin – harvested, tested and jarred in the country of origin under MPI oversight.
- Flavour – silky, caramelled and exceptionally intense.
- 250 g in glass – a recyclable glass jar inside a carton that keeps the light off the honey.
How to use
A usual serving is one teaspoon a day, straight off the spoon, stirred into warm water or milk, or spooned over yoghurt and toast. Do not stir it into hot drinks, heat strips the aroma and changes the texture. Manuka is thick and slow to pour, so give it a moment. A 250 g jar gives you roughly 35 servings of 7 g.
Ingredients
100% raw monofloral manuka honey, New Zealand. Net weight 250 g. Honey is a natural source of sugars. Nutritional values are printed on the product label.
Warnings

KORU: raw mānuka honey from New Zealand, graded and certified
KORU sells one thing and does it properly: raw, unpasteurised mānuka honey from New Zealand, packed in glass. Every jar is certified under the New Zealand government's mānuka honey standard and independently tested for methylglyoxal, the compound that defines mānuka strength.
The range runs from MGO 300+ for daily use on toast or in tea, through 500+, 800+, 1000+ and 1200+, up to the rare MGO 1500+. Because the honey is raw and native, the MGO figure on the label is a guaranteed minimum, not a marketing number. All grades come in 250 g jars at BJP Store.
