True MCT adds concentrated fat to drinks or food without a strong coconut flavour. It can fit a lower-carbohydrate diet when you choose to obtain some of your energy from fat. It contains 60% C8 and 40% C10, with no palm oil.

Two coconut-derived fractions
C8 refers to caprylic-acid triglycerides and C10 to capric-acid triglycerides. Ordinary coconut oil contains other fatty acids too, so it is not identical to a C8/C10 blend.
Introduce it gradually
A large amount of MCT at once can cause digestive discomfort. Starting with 5 ml lets you assess tolerance; do not automatically add more.
Recommended daily dose
Start with 5 ml, no more than 10 ml daily
- Measure 5 ml, about one teaspoon, and add it to a drink, smoothie or food.
- Increase gradually as tolerated, up to a maximum of 2 teaspoons daily, approximately 10 ml. Reduce the amount or stop if digestive discomfort occurs.

Can I use MCT in food too?
Yes. As well as adding it to drinks and smoothies, you can drizzle it over a salad or soup.
Can I have it during a calorie-free fast?
No. It is an energy-dense oil even though it does not taste sweet, so it is not suitable during a calorie-free fast. Fasting methods that allow MCT follow different rules from a fast with no energy intake.
Is it vegan, and how long does the bottle last?
It is plant-based and derived from coconut oil. A 500 ml bottle lasts 100 days at 5 ml or 50 days at 10 ml daily. Observe the best-before date.
