Padding for strikes, free fingers for grips
The Venum Attack 2.0 are MMA sparring gloves: 8 oz of padding absorbs the impact of your strikes, and the open palm leaves your fingers free to grip. They suit MMA classes where you switch between stand-up and grappling, and Venum recommends them for 2–4 sessions a week.

A reinforced wrist and a flexible hand shape
High-density injected foam absorbs impact over the knuckles, and the flexible construction follows the shape of your hand and wrist. Because the thumb is attached to the glove, it bends away less on impact. The open palm lets you grab your partner and work on the ground.
Reinforcement at the wrist helps keep your hand stable, and the hook-and-loop strap pulls the glove tight. Inside, a polyester lining wicks sweat. The outer is PU synthetic leather, here white with a black top section over the fingers, a black palm and a black strap with a white Venum logo. The gloves are made in Thailand.
Choosing your size
Size by your hand, not by ounces
We stock the Attack 2.0 in S, M and L/XL, sized by your hand. The 8 oz figure refers to the padding, not to hand size.
If you train with hand wraps, try the gloves on with your hands wrapped. With the glove fastened, your hand should not turn inside it.
- Put it on and fasten itTighten the strap so the glove stays put at the wrist without digging in.
- Make a fistYour knuckles should sit under the padding, and your fingers should not be squashed or stick out.
- Test your gripOpen your hand and grab your partner or a towel. Your fingers should bend freely.

How to measure: Measure around your hand at the base of your fingers, excluding your thumb. Allow for the hand wraps you use.
Fit advice: Venum recommends the smaller option when between sizes. Account for your wraps and finger comfort. The manufacturer lists 22 cm as the reference circumference for L/XL.
Frequently asked questions
How do they differ from competition MMA gloves?
Competition MMA gloves have only a thin layer of padding. Sparring gloves like the Attack 2.0 have much more foam over the knuckles (8 oz here), so your strikes are easier on your partner. They keep the open palm, so you can drill both strikes and grips in them.
Are they made of real leather?
No. We sell the version in PU synthetic leather with a polyester lining. Venum also makes the Attack 2.0 in real leather, but we do not stock it.
Are they suitable for beginners?
Yes, Venum makes them for MMA training and sparring at any level, 2–4 times a week. Ask your coach whether your classes call for them.
How do I look after them?
After training, undo the strap and let the gloves dry away from radiators and sunlight. Wipe the outer with a damp cloth. Keep them out of the washing machine, and only put them back in your bag once they are dry.
Gloves absorb impact, but you can still get hurt. Agree the intensity of sparring with your partner and coach.
