Round three of sparring and your partner checks a low kick. With the Venum Challenger Standup Shin Guards on, the shin takes it, the instep takes it, and you throw the next one without hesitation. This is Venum's entry-level striking guard: the essentials done properly at a price you can afford for your first year of Muay Thai or kickboxing.
Under the PU outer sits high-density foam, with extra padding placed exactly where kicks land, along the shin and across the instep. A hook-and-loop closure at the back holds the guard in place through clinch work and footwork drills, and the whole thing stays light enough that your kicks do not slow down. Black shell, printed Venum logo on the front panel, embossed label.

Size and fit
Measure your shin from the top of the instep to just below the knee. M: shin up to 35.5 cm, roughly 54 to 70 kg and 163 to 173 cm tall. L: shin 35.5 to 37 cm, 71 to 86 kg, 173 to 185 cm. XL: shin over 37 cm, 87 to 113 kg, 185 to 193 cm. When your measurements sit between two sizes, choose by shin length.
Care
Clean the shell with a moist cloth after every session and let the guards air dry with the straps open. Keep them away from radiators and direct sun, and do not machine wash.
