The Venum Demon long sleeve rashguard covers your torso and arms in jiu-jitsu, MMA and strength training, under a gi or for no-gi. Made from a compressive bi-stretch blend of 81% polyester and 19% elastane, it has reinforced seams built for rolling and silicone bands in the hem that stop it riding up. It is a tight fit, so Venum recommends going one to two sizes up.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Venum Demon · Black/Grey

A jiu-jitsu rashguard that stays put from wrist to waist

With long sleeves, the Venum Demon rashguard covers your arms and torso, so your skin does not rub directly against the mat or the gi in jiu-jitsu and MMA. The compressive bi-stretch fabric fits like a second skin, the reinforced seams stand up to rolling and the silicone bands in the hem keep it in place. Wear it under a gi or for no-gi.

Close-up of the sleeve of the black and grey Venum Demon long sleeve rashguard: a red flame on the forearm and grey stripes on the arm

A red flame on the forearm

The 81% polyester, 19% elastane fabric stretches both ways and stays close to your body through grips and transitions. The reinforced seams are built for grappling and rolling, and the silicone bands inside the hem keep the top at your waist, even under a gi.

The sublimated print has grey stripes running over the black base from the chest to the wrists, and one sleeve has a red flame. There is a red Venum logo on the chest and red panels across the shoulder blades. The Demon fight shorts and T-shirt share the same graphics.

Choosing your size

Venum recommends one to two sizes up for the Demon

The rashguard has a tight fit, and Venum recommends choosing one to two sizes larger than you normally wear. The sleeves should end at the wrist, and the top should hug you without restricting your shoulder movement.

Sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL.

  1. Stretch your arms forwardThe sleeves should not ride up above the wrist or pull at the shoulders.
  2. Try a bridge and a rollThe fabric should move with you, not squeeze your chest as you breathe in.
  3. Check the hem at the waistThe silicone bands should lie flat against your skin, not roll upwards.

Size guide

Measure your body, rather than a garment laid flat. The table gives approximate body measurements in centimetres.

Size Chest circumference (cm)
S 96–99
M 100–103
L 104–107
XL 108–111
XXL 112–115

How to measure: Pass a measuring tape horizontally under your arms around the fullest part of your chest. Stand naturally without pulling the tape tight.

Fit advice: A rashguard is designed for a close, second-skin fit. Follow the chart for compression; Venum recommends going one size up for a lighter compression feel.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work under a gi?

Yes. The close fit does not bunch up under a gi, and the long sleeves cover your arms under the gi sleeves. For no-gi, wear it on its own.

Why not my usual size?

Venum lists the Demon as a tight-fit model and recommends going one to two sizes up. Go one size up for a firm compression feel, or two sizes up if you want more room.

How does it differ from the short sleeve Demon?

The material, seams and hem are the same. The long sleeve version covers your arms fully and works well under a gi or in a cooler gym. The short sleeve version leaves your arms free.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash at 30°C, do not tumble dry and do not iron. Leave it to dry naturally.

The brand · Venum

The gear UFC fighters walk out in

Venum is a French combat sports brand founded in 2006. Since 2021 it has been the UFC's exclusive outfitting partner, so UFC fighters step into the Octagon wearing Venum. The brand covers MMA, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, from first gloves to fight-night kit.

Venum pairs well-thought-out construction with bold design. Its gloves use multi-density foam, an attached thumb and wide hook-and-loop straps; its shorts and rashguards use lightweight stretch fabrics with reinforced seams. Many of its leather gloves are handmade in Thailand, the home of Muay Thai.
