Venum Demon Shin Guards - Black/Grey
Product detailed description
Venum Demon · Black/Grey
Shin guards for Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA
The Venum Demon are shin guards with an instep section, and their multi-density foam absorbs the impact of kicks and blocks. Venum makes them for training and sparring in Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA, so they belong wherever you drill kicks with a partner.

- Shape
- Anatomical, lightweight

Anatomical shape and elastic straps under the foot
The multi-density foam padding is reinforced along the shinbone and over the instep, where kicks and blocks make the most contact. The anatomical shape follows the leg, and the construction is lightweight and hard-wearing.
Self-gripping straps at the calf and behind the heel lock the guard in place, and elastic support under the foot and behind the heel keeps the instep section where it belongs. The Skintex synthetic leather outer is black with a grey marbled print, while the logo on the shin and the lettering on the instep are red.
Choosing your size
Try them on the move, not just standing still
We stock the Demon in sizes M, L and XL. Choose according to your shin length and comfort: the top edge should end below the knee, and the instep section should sit on your foot. The straps adjust the fit around your calf, not the length.
If the guard only fits with the strap pulled to its limit, try a smaller size.
- Fasten the straps at the calf and heelThe guard should hold firmly without cutting into your calf.
- Walk across the room and bend your kneesThe top edge should not knock against your knee, and the lower section should not lift.
- Try kicks and blocksThe guard should not twist, and the instep section should stay on your foot.
Size guide
Choose your size using shin length. Measurements are in centimetres.
| Size | Shin length (cm) |
|---|---|
| M | 36 |
| L | 38 |
| XL | 40 |
How to measure: Measure your shin from just below the knee to the ankle joint. Use your shin length, rather than your whole leg or the guard’s instep section.
Fit advice: Between sizes, Venum recommends the smaller option for a closer fit or the larger option for more room around the calf.
Frequently asked questions
How are they different from the G-Core shin guards?
They are similar in construction: both have multi-density foam, reinforcement along the shinbone and over the instep, an anatomical shape and straps at the calf, behind the heel and under the foot. The Demon has a Skintex outer and a black and grey print with red logos, while for the G-Core the manufacturer also states compliance with CE standards.
Why are the shinbone and instep areas reinforced?
That is where most of the contact lands in kicks and blocks. The reinforced foam therefore absorbs impact exactly where it is needed most.
Do I need them for the bag too?
You do not need shin guards to kick the bag. They are made for partner work, where they soften the impact for both of you.
How do I clean and store them?
After training, wipe the Skintex with a damp cloth and leave the guards opened out to dry. Do not dry them on a radiator or machine wash them, and only put them in your bag once they are dry.
Reinforced padding softens impact, but it does not rule out injury. Let your partner and coach guide the power of your kicks.

The gear UFC fighters walk out in
Venum is a French combat sports brand founded in 2006. Since 2021 it has been the UFC's exclusive outfitting partner, so UFC fighters step into the Octagon wearing Venum. The brand covers MMA, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, from first gloves to fight-night kit.
Venum pairs well-thought-out construction with bold design. Its gloves use multi-density foam, an attached thumb and wide hook-and-loop straps; its shorts and rashguards use lightweight stretch fabrics with reinforced seams. Many of its leather gloves are handmade in Thailand, the home of Muay Thai.
