Checking a kick shin on shin is the moment cheap shin guards give up. The Venum Elite Standup Shin guards in matte black are handmade in Thailand for standing striking: Muay Thai, kickboxing and K-1 rounds where the shin and the instep take the punishment.
The outer shell is 100% Skintex leather, Venum's semi-leather that puts up with years of sparring and wipes clean afterwards. Beneath it sits high-density foam with extra padding over the shinbone and the instep, the two spots where a blocked kick or a hard low kick actually connects. The guard stays light, so your kicks keep their speed.
Two large hook-and-loop straps behind the calf plus elastic bands under the foot and around the heel lock the guard on the leg; it does not spin round to the side mid-round. The matte black finish carries an embossed Venum label and clean graphics.

How to use
Put your foot through so the instep pad covers the top of the foot and the heel band sits behind the heel. Fasten the upper strap first, then the lower one, tight enough that the guard does not rotate when you shake your leg. Size by shin length and calf circumference from the size guide; the guard should end just below the knee.
Care
Wipe the shell and the inside with a damp cloth after every session and let the guards air dry away from radiators and direct sun. Do not machine wash. Close the straps before storing so the hook side does not catch on other gear.
