The Venum Stone 2.0 are boxing gloves for regular bag and pad work, padded with layered EVA foam. They suit you if you do boxing, kickboxing or Muay Thai three to four times a week and want gloves with a hard-wearing outer.

What multi-layer foam does and what PU Flex is for
The padding is made up of several layers of EVA foam that absorb the shock as your fist lands. The ergonomic shape keeps your hand in a natural closed fist.
PU Flex is a synthetic leather that Venum uses for its abrasion resistance. On the back of the hand it has a grainy, stone-like texture, and at the wrist there is a smooth hook-and-loop strap. The soft polyester lining wicks sweat and reduces chafing against the skin. Made in Pakistan.
Choosing the weight
Ounces are the weight of the glove, not the size of your hand
The oz figure tells you how much the glove weighs, and so how much padding it has. It has nothing to do with hand size: you fine-tune the fit by tightening the strap. Lighter gloves are for pad work, heavier ones for the bag and sparring, where gyms often require 14 or 16 oz.
The Stone 2.0 comes in 10, 12, 14 and 16 oz. If this is your first pair, talk the weight through with your coach.

Choosing your glove weight
Oz indicates the weight of one glove, not hand circumference. Athlete weight is only a general guide; the type of training also matters.

Fit advice: Venum generally recommends 12–14 oz for bag and pad work and 16 oz or more for most adults’ sparring. Follow your coach’s guidance and competition rules. Try gloves on with your wraps.

Frequently asked questions
Are Stone 2.0 gloves suitable for beginners?
Yes. They are intended for all levels and regular training. Ask your coach to check how you make a fist.
How do they differ from the Contender 1.5 XT 3D?
The Stone 2.0 has several layers of EVA foam and a PU Flex outer. The Contender 1.5 XT 3D is Venum's entry-level series with multi-density injected foam. Both models are made for training three to four times a week.
Is PU Flex real leather?
No. PU Flex is a polyurethane-based synthetic leather. There is no real leather in this model.
How do I look after the gloves after training?
Undo the strap, let them air out and wipe the outer with a damp cloth. Do not dry them on a radiator and do not machine wash them.
Gloves absorb impact, but they do not guarantee protection from injury. Always match the intensity of training to your partner and your coach's instructions.
