The recommended daily dose provides 1,300 mg of DHA + EPA, compared with 400 mg in two of Arctic Blue’s standard smaller capsules. Choose blisters if you want a more concentrated option and are comfortable swallowing larger capsules.
The roles of DHA and EPA
EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. DHA contributes to maintenance of normal brain function and to the maintenance of normal vision.
Individually packed capsules
Remove each capsule from its blister just before taking it; the others stay sealed. The oil comes from wild Alaskan fish and has no added vitamin D.
The beneficial effect on the heart is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. The beneficial effects of DHA on brain function and vision are obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.

What is the difference between the 30- and 60-capsule packs?
The formula and daily dose are identical. The smaller pack provides 15 daily doses and the larger one 30. When comparing, make sure both packs are labelled 500 mg DHA / 800 mg EPA.
Why is total omega-3 higher than DHA + EPA?
The daily dose contains 1,600 mg of omega-3, of which DHA and EPA make up 1,300 mg. The rest consists of other omega-3 fatty acids. The whole oil weighs 2,400 mg.
Are they the same size as the smaller fish oil capsules?
No, these capsules are larger. If you find large capsules difficult to swallow, the standard smaller capsules or a measured liquid oil may be more practical.
Do they also provide vitamin D?
Vitamin D is not added. Arctic Blue’s liquid oil combines omega-3 and D3. If you already take a separate D3 supplement, you can manage that intake independently.
Does an opened pack need to go in the fridge?
No, keep it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Leave the capsules in their original blisters until use. For travel, take the blisters you need; do not remove the capsules from them in advance.
