A head kick with no seam in the crotch
SPIRIT is a new BJP range: training pieces designed and sewn in the Czech Republic with ATEX Sportswear. The MMA shorts are the piece that shows what the range is for. The crotch panel has no seam, so in a high kick or in guard there is nothing to tear and nothing to rub, and the longer side slits let your thigh go wherever it wants. The loose cut does the rest.
A light woven fabric and a knit-wrapped waist
PAVERA is a woven fabric, not a knit: light, stretchy, smooth and hard-wearing, with good breathability and fast drying, so it does not cling to your thighs even after two hours of sparring. The waist elastic is wrapped on the outside in a band of ESPAN FIT knit. It is a detail you will not see in the photo but will notice in the clinch: the knit is soft and abrasion-resistant, so the waist survives friction against the mat and does not chafe the skin.

Care
Wash them inside out at 30 °C with similar colours, without fabric softener or bleach. Do not tumble dry, do not iron.
Not just for the cage
The range of motion you need for a kick also works for squats, burpees and hill sprints. So you wear the shorts to any session where you want to move without restriction, not just the fight one.
