Cadence started in New York in 2024, founded by two people who arrived at hydration the long way round. Ross MacKay had already built the food brand Daring, while George Heaton is creative director of the British label Represent and competes in fitness himself. Both kept running into the same thing: after hard training, water on its own is not enough, because sweat takes sodium above all. The drinks on the shelf were low on it and added sugar or sweeteners on top. So they made their own: 500 mg of sodium per serving and no sugar.
What Cadence offers
The range is built around the Core Hydration electrolyte drink, available in tubs and in single-serve sachets for travel. Next to it sits Race Energy with caffeine and L-theanine for race days, and the evening Sleep Hydration with magnesium and vitamin B6. Carbohydrates for long training days come from the Fuel energy gels and bars.
What sets it apart
The formulas are short and readable. Electrolyte doses are listed in milligrams right on the pack and nothing hides behind vague terms such as "proprietary blend", so you always know how much of what you are drinking. Finished products are also verified by an independent laboratory.
At BJP Store you will find the complete Cadence range, from daily hydration through race fuel to the evening routine.
