Immortal Cordyceps is whole wild Ophiocordyceps sinensis from the high-altitude Dolpa region of Nepal. Primal Alchemy sources it from the Nepalese company Saryu, which uses the same raw material for its own liquid cordyceps elixirs. According to the supplier, AAA is the highest grade of wild Nepalese cordyceps.

Why do athletes seek out cordyceps?
In Himalayan tradition, cordyceps is associated with physical endurance, and research today looks at areas such as exercise tolerance. Most studies, however, use the cultivated preparation Cs-4 rather than wild whole pieces. Their results therefore cannot be carried over to this product as a proven effect.
Dolpa region
The pieces come from alpine meadows in Nepal's Dolpa region at altitudes of roughly 4,000 to 5,400 m. The harvest season lasts less than two months and requires a permit from the Nepalese government.
Whole cordyceps
These are not capsules or an extract but whole dried pieces. They naturally include the shell of the host caterpillar, so the product is not vegan.

Collectors search on their knees for tiny fruiting bodies that stick out of the ground by only a few centimetres. That is why wild cordyceps is among the rarest Himalayan ingredients.
Preparation and dosage
Infusion or slow chewing
- Before preparing, rinse the pieces by shaking them several times in a container of water.
- For an infusion, put 2–3 pieces in 0.5–1 l of water and leave them to steep for at least 30 minutes in a closed jar with a lid.
- Drink the infusion, then chew the steeped pieces slowly and swallow them. Alternatively, the supplier suggests slowly chewing 1–2 pieces a day. These are two alternative methods, so do not add the doses together.
- The supplier recommends taking cordyceps on an empty stomach, in the morning or before noon, or before training.
