Omega-3 and vitamin D for children’s diets
For children who eat little fish, Kids Omega 3 provides DHA and EPA in an orange-flavoured liquid that is easy to give without capsules. Added vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children. It is suitable from age 1, with the dose depending on age.

Vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children. The oil contains vitamin D as D3. See the table for the amount in each age-specific dose.

Give the measured oil directly or stir it into a small amount of cold yoghurt or another snack that your child will finish.
Oil from Norwegian cod
The oil comes from wild cod and carries MSC certification for sustainable fishing. It is in its natural triglyceride form.
Recommended daily dose
Measure by age, give with food
- Children from 1 year until their 7th birthday: 2.5 ml once daily. Children aged 7 and over and adults: 5 ml once daily.
- Give during or after a meal. Use a measure marked in millilitres, as ordinary teaspoons can vary in size.
- If mixing into cold food, use a small portion that will be finished. Discuss any additional vitamin D for children with their doctor.

Your questions answered
What is the dose for each age?
From 1 year until their 7th birthday, give 2.5 ml daily. From age 7, and for adults, give 5 ml daily. This bottle’s dose increases at age 7; do not apply the 250 ml bottle’s age threshold to this one.
Can I mix it with food?
Yes, use a small amount of cold food such as yoghurt. Your child needs to finish the whole portion to receive the measured dose. Do not use the oil for cooking or frying.
How do Kids 150 ml and the 250 ml oil differ?
Volume for volume, the composition is identical. Bottle size and age-specific doses differ. With Kids, the 5 ml dose starts at age 7; with the 250 ml bottle, at age 6. Follow the instructions for the particular bottle.
Can my child also take vitamin D drops?
This oil already contains vitamin D: 200 IU in 2.5 ml and 400 IU in 5 ml. Discuss any additional vitamin D with your child’s doctor so their total intake can be taken into account.
How long will a bottle last?
150 ml provides 60 smaller or 30 larger daily doses. Refrigerate the opened bottle at or below 7 °C and use within 6 months and before the best-before date.
