Lightweight training shorts with zipped pockets
These lightweight shorts let you move freely in the weight room, in conditioning and while warming up, with your keys or card zipped safely in a pocket. They are made for the parts of training where you do not need fight shorts, and the light fabric makes them good for the trip to the gym in warm weather too. They belong to the official UFC Unity by Venum Authentic Fight Week collection, whose graphics take their cue from motorsport.

Sand base and a side panel with a chequered pattern
The fabric of 92% polyester and 8% elastane is lightweight and slightly stretchy, so in a squat, lunge or jump it gives and doesn't hold you back. The elasticated waistband keeps the shorts in place, and the legs end above the knee.
The Sand shade is set off by dark brown side panels with a motorsport-inspired chequered pattern, the UFC logo on one thigh and Venum on the other. The shorts match the brown rashguard and the sand T-shirt from the same collection.
Choosing your size
Waist measurement and room across the thighs decide
Choose according to your waist measurement, taken just above the hips. The shorts have looser legs, so when you try them on, check mainly that they do not pull across your thighs in a squat and that the waistband stays put without digging in.

How to measure: Measure around your waist just above your hips. Keep the tape level and relaxed without holding in your stomach.
Fit advice: Choose using your waist measurement. The elastic waistband provides some flexibility; the shorts should stay secure as you move without feeling restrictive.
Frequently asked questions
Are they good for grappling or sparring?
Venum lists them as training shorts, not fight shorts. For sparring and grappling, choose fight shorts without pockets, as zips can catch during grips.
Do the pockets really zip up?
Yes, both side pockets have a zip, so your keys or card stay inside when you run and jump.
Do they have an inner compression layer?
Venum does not list an inner layer. If you want one, wear the shorts over the Performance Tight compression tights from the same collection.
How do I look after the shorts?
Zip the pockets before washing, wash at 30°C, do not tumble dry and do not iron. After washing, leave them to dry naturally.
