The short, wide cut, side slits and curved hem of the Venum Demon Muay Thai shorts give your thighs freedom for kicks, knees and the clinch. The wide elasticated waistband holds them securely, and the mesh side panels keep air moving even in a hot gym. They work for Muay Thai training and in the ring if you want lightweight, high-sheen shorts with a bold print.

A mesh side with red Venum lettering
The lightweight, high-sheen fabric in 97% polyester and 3% elastane is typical of Thai shorts. The slits and curved hem free the leg on a high kick, and the contrasting full-length mesh side panels ventilate your thighs. The stitching is reinforced.
The wide elasticated waistband in the traditional style stays up without any fastening and has a woven logo patch at the front. Grey stripes on black are paired with large red Venum lettering at the front and on the sides. The Demon fight shorts and rashguards have a similar design.
Choosing your size
Runs small: one size up for a fitted look, two for a looser one
The shorts run small, and Venum's advice is to go one size up if you want a fitted look, or two sizes up for a looser fit. Do not go by the size on your everyday shorts.

How do they differ from the Demon MMA shorts?
The Thai shorts have a relaxed cut with wide legs, a wide elasticated waistband, mesh sides and a high-sheen fabric. The Demon MMA shorts have a multi-panel cut, a stretch gusset at the crotch and a drawcord waistband, so they also work for grappling.
Are they men's or women's?
Venum lists them as unisex, for men and women. Your waist size and the recommendation to go one to two sizes up are what count.
Can I compete in them?
The manufacturer designed them for Muay Thai, including movement in the ring. Before a bout, check the promoter's kit requirements.
How do I look after them?
Wash at 30°C with similar colours, do not bleach and do not iron. You can tumble dry them on a low heat.
