With a stretch gusset at the crotch and thermo-bonded side slits, the Venum G-Core MMA shorts give your legs freedom for kicks, knees and groundwork. The hook-and-loop waistband with an internal drawstring holds firm even in grappling. They suit MMA, BJJ and sparring when you want lightweight shorts that dry quickly.

Side slit and gold lettering on the back of the waistband
The lightweight fabric of 95% polyester and 5% elastane is densely woven, wicks sweat and dries quickly. The stretch gusset at the crotch gives with you in a high kick and in guard alike. The side slits are thermo-bonded rather than stitched.
The fit is athletic. A gold stripe on the sides, a tonal logo on the front of the waistband and gold Venum lettering on the back break up the black base. The black and gold short sleeve rashguard comes from the same G-Core range.
Choosing your size
Athletic fit: waistband fastened, thighs free
Venum does not recommend sizing up or down for these shorts, so go by the waist measurement of fight shorts that already fit you. The athletic fit sits closer to the body but leaves room across the thighs for a kick.

Frequently asked questions
How do they differ from the Galactic 3.0 training shorts?
G-Core shorts have a stretch gusset, bonded slits and a hook-and-loop waistband with a drawstring for grappling. The Galactic 3.0 training shorts have an elasticated waistband and zipped pockets and are meant more for the weight room and conditioning.
Will they stand up to being pulled about in grappling?
Venum makes them from a high-density fabric and describes the construction as exceptionally durable for intense training. The hook-and-loop closure and internal drawstring keep the waistband in place.
Are they suitable for competition?
They are designed for MMA, jiu-jitsu and other combat sports. Before a fight, check the promoter's rules on clothing and equipment.
How do I wash the shorts?
Wash at 30°C with like colours and fasten the hook-and-loop before washing so the hooks do not catch on other laundry. Further instructions are on the care label.
