How to choose OPRO Instant Custom Fit
What a personal impression means, what the fitting tool does and how to choose the right version.
How does Instant Custom Fit differ from Gold?
Instant Custom Fit uses a triple-layer construction and its own self-impression gel fin system; the adult version uses a dual compression cage during fitting. Gold has a dual-layer construction and a different inner fin system. The difference is therefore more than the printed design. Both ranges depend on correct moulding and fit.
Does the compression cage stay in your mouth during sport?
No. The cage is a removable fitting tool that helps distribute pressure when making the impression. Remove it after completing the fitting process and wear the mouthguard alone. Follow the instructions supplied for your size and generation, rather than copying the steps for another model. An adult should handle hot-water fitting for children.
Can I mould a standard Instant Custom Fit over fixed braces?
No. Fixed braces require a version explicitly marked Braces, with a construction adapted for them. Names such as Clear, Teeth or UFC describe the design and do not confirm suitability for braces. Check the exact version before buying, and consult your orthodontist about the right choice for your braces.
Is Instant Custom Fit the same as a night guard for teeth grinding?
No. This category contains sports mouthguards for contact sports. Custom Fit describes adjustment to your teeth, not suitability for sleep. Night guards are a separate product type. If you need help with grinding or clenching your teeth at night, discuss a suitable appliance with your dentist.
