How to choose an OPRO Gold mouthguard
Differences from Silver, junior sizing and what the UFC label means.
Does Gold add a gel layer that Silver does not have?
Both ranges have a gel interior. Gold differs from Silver in the gel and fins: the manufacturer specifies ultra high-flow gel and advanced fins for Gold, and high-flow gel with classic fins for Silver. Both have two layers. Do not base your choice on the mistaken idea that Silver has no gel.
What age is Gold Junior for, and when should I choose Senior?
OPRO gives the guideline Junior / Youth for children under 10 and Senior / Adult from age 10. Mouth size and the actual fit also matter. The junior model is listed separately; neither colour nor a UFC design determines size. Around the age boundary, check the specific size rather than relying on the range name alone.
Is Gold UFC a higher range than standard Gold?
No. UFC is a licensed design; Gold identifies the range. UFC designs also appear at other OPRO levels, so compare the full model name first. Besides the range, size, any suitability for braces and fitting accessories matter when buying. The UFC logo alone does not replace these details.
How should I clean Gold without losing its moulded shape?
After use, rinse it with cool water, let it dry fully and put it in a clean case. Do not put it in a dishwasher or washing machine. Avoid toothpaste and other abrasive cleaners; for thorough cleaning, use a product intended for mouthguards according to its instructions. Clean the case too.
