BrainMax Prebiotic Complex, prebiotic mixture, ORGANIC, 100 vegetable capsules
Product detailed description
A blend of three types of fiber for proper digestion
Prebiotic Complex is composed of psyllium, inulin and apple pectin. These prebiotic fibers are beneficial for the digestive tract because they provide nutrition for health-promoting bacteria. These are fibers that act quickly, support proper digestion and the health of the entire digestive system and immune system.

Three types of fiber
The mixture contains inulin from blue agave and psyllium. It is a complex mixture of fructooligosaccharides that travel to the intestines and serve as a source of nutrients for beneficial bacteria. . Healthy microbiome = good digestion. Prebiotic fiber also has the ability to absorb water, increase its volume and thus support intestinal movement, which also contributes to their health and proper emptying, as well as supporting overall immunity.
The Prebiotic Complex also includes pectin. Pectins are a group of polysaccharides found in fruit. We used apple pectin in the prebiotic complex. This is the fiber contained in apple peels, which are then ground into a fine powder. It is rich in soluble fiber and thanks to the whole mixture, it will not only promote bowel movements, but also maintain a longer feeling of satiety. It is therefore suitable not only for weight loss diets, but also for problems such as constipation.
SCFA - short-chain fatty acids
When our gut bacteria break down these types of fiber, they produce short -chain fatty acids (SCFAs). . Thanks to that a symbiotic relationship arises between the digestive system and the microbiome of our colon.
SCFAs are used by colon cells to:
- Energy
- They help in the absorption of minerals
- They help with metabolic functions.
- They support the restoration of the intestinal mucosa

The study showed that increased fiber intake led to significantly higher levels of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) in the gut compared to the control group. This increase in SCFA has a positive effect on gut health and may contribute to better regulation of energy metabolism and improved overall gut health.
- Acetate is the most abundant short-chain fatty acid, which is produced by the fermentation of fiber by intestinal bacteria and serves as a key energy source for intestinal mucosal cells and other organs.
- Propionate is involved in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism
- Butyrate is the main source of energy for intestinal mucosal cells (colonocytes), supporting intestinal barrier health

Collaboration between prebiotics and probiotics
Gut health is very closely related to sufficient fiber intake, as fiber positively affects the diversity and health of the microbiome. Prebiotic fiber (prebiotics) is nutrition for your microbiome. Probiotic bacteria (probiotics) are themselves strains of bacteria that are beneficial to health. Prebiotics are therefore nutrition for our own probiotic bacteria, the inhabitants of our intestines, with which we have developed a symbiotic relationship over millions of years of evolution. They help us properly process the nutrients we consume and at the same time support the proper functioning of our immune system.
There are over 100 trillion bacteria in the human colon, and while some strains are beneficial to our health, others are less desirable. The beneficial ones need fiber for their happy lives. If they have enough of it, they thrive, and they can crowd out the less beneficial ones.
Avoid fiber in combination with dietary supplements
We recommend not taking it with other minerals, vitamins or medications. Fiber acts very quickly and takes everything with it. Other dietary supplements do not have time to be sufficiently absorbed. From taking other vitamins and minerals We recommend at least a 2-hour gap. The same applies to foods rich in fiber, such as legumes, cruciferous vegetables or seeds. If foods containing fiber have only appeared sporadically in your diet, even if you are used to consuming them, they may be accompanied by some of the following problems: bloating or feeling of fullness. These problems should gradually disappear.
