Mumio, which is popularly called mountain resin, tears of the mountains or tears of rocks, and in Ayurveda shilajit, is a very special type of biological-geological deposit that has a sticky consistency and a very dark, even black, color in the best quality. It occurs in several mountainous regions - the Caucasus, Altai or the Himalayas. Mumio from Altai is considered the most valuable and strongest due to its highest content of active ingredients. The raw material for the production of mummies is mined in high-altitude conditions at more than 3,000 meters above sea level, where it has been naturally deposited for no less than 500 to 1,000 years. It is a very specific black geological-biological substance that occurs in separate "veins" in remote caves and rocks. Its extraction is completely ecological, without the use of any synthetic additives, and subsequent purification takes place at low temperatures, which allows the mummy to retain the full spectrum of nutrients.

 

The Altai origin of mumiyo is very important. Altai is a huge, almost 2000 km long mountain range in Central Asia on the border of Russia, Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia. There is a very minimal population and at the same time enormous natural wealth (the name Altai comes from the Mongolian Altan = golden mountains). The remoteness from civilization and the high altitude allow Altai to remain untouched, thanks to which many natural wonders can be found here, including the Altai mumiyo.

 

 

 

The main active ingredient in mumiyo is the so-called humic acids, among which fulvic acid stands out (it makes up 50% of the mumiyo content), a special substance formed in biological sediments that has very strong adaptogenic effects. It functions as a versatile metabolic optimizer and harmonizer with properties related to virtually all biological processes. Humic acids are a source of many other substances - non-essential amino acids such as glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, phenylalanine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, isoleucine, lysine, arginine, valine, aspartic acid, minerals such as manganese, potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium, phosphorus, chromium, nickel, zinc, copper, sulfur, silicon, selenium, silver, cobalt and aluminum, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, phospholipids, essential oils, organic acids, flavonoids, carotenoids and vitamins.

 

An important property of all these substances contained in mumiyo is their bioavailability = they are all 100% of natural origin. Thanks to this, mumiyo, although it is outwardly a single substance, can be described as an all-in-one among adaptogens.

 

 

 

To further enhance the effect, Eastern Adaptogen contains two other natural substances - Siberian ginseng extract and Siberian rhodiola rosea extract. Siberian ginseng has very similar properties to mumiyo, especially related to overall vitality, stress, performance, regeneration, joints, sugar levels, energy levels and concentration. The main active ingredients of Siberian ginseng are eleutherosides. There are a total of seven basic types of eleutherosides, with eleutherosides B and E being the most studied. In the extract in Eastern Adaptogen, these two are standardized to 1.5% content.

 

Rhodiola rosea is a well-known adaptogen with properties related mainly to resistance to stress and psychological strain. Rhodiola rosea contains bioactive polyphenols such as rosavin, salidroside, syringin, triandrin and tyrosol. The extract in the supplement is standardized to the content 1% salidroside and 3% rosavin.
