These curcuminoids can be:
-3 times stronger than resveratrol or antioxidants from pine bark extracts
-Suitable for individuals focused on optimizing a healthy inflammatory response. Inflammation is a tool of innate immunity. This is a natural reaction to damage. It is an expression of protective adaptability.
A healthy form of inflammation affects many organs in the body, but when this response is overactive - excessive - it can contribute to a wide range of health problems.

Avoid products with questionable ingredients
What is not necessarily used to stabilize turmeric in a dietary supplement - microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and gelatin (gelatin capsules).
Magnesium stearate, an additive for tablet production. Another undesirable ingredient is dicalcium phosphate (DCP), which can even inhibit the absorption of essential minerals.
Focus on a supplement that contains certified organic turmeric – it includes a standardized extract containing 95% curcuminoids.
If you use spices, keep in mind that heating will cause degradation, so fresh, organic turmeric is a good addition to salads.
Beware of products with piperine, which do not take into account the fact of intestinal permeability. Dr. Mercola supports the approach of concentrate and extract standardization combined with the use of fermentation with regard to GIT sensitivity.
Fermentation also makes sense with regard to the binding of active ingredients and their reactions in the GIT. Turmeric, like garlic, increases intestinal permeability when taken in large quantities or in combination with piperine.
Turmeric has been used as a substitute for saffron in Europe for over 700 years. One of the main healthy ingredients in turmeric is curcumin (a pigment in turmeric root).
Western scientists first isolated the curcumin molecule in 1815, it obtained its crystalline form in 1870, and its complete structure was revealed in 1910.
Thousands of years ago, people in India and China used this spice. In fact, some evidence goes back as far as 10,000 years in India.
One of the often overlooked ways to improve and optimize health is to use herbs and spices - unprocessed and organically grown, of course. One amazing benefit of these herbs is that they are low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals.
More than 100 components have been isolated from turmeric. The main component of the root is an essential oil, which contains curcumin, and there are also other coloring substances called curcuminoids. Curcuminoids consist of curcumin demethoxycurcumin, 5’-methoxycurcumin and dihydrocurcumin, the effects of which are described as natural antioxidants.
Nutritional analysis showed that 100 g of turmeric contains 390 kcal, 10 g total fat, 3 g saturated fat, 0 mg cholesterol, 0.2 g calcium, 0.26 g phosphorus, 10 mg sodium, 2500 mg potassium, 47.5 mg iron, 0.9 mg thiamine, 0.19 mg riboflavin, 4.8 mg niacin, 50 mg ascorbic acid, 69.9 g total carbohydrates, 21 g fiber, 3 g sugar, and 8 g protein.
