Detailed information

Product detailed description

Lumbrokinase is a group of potent fibrinolytic enzymes from the earthworm Lumbricus rubellus. In recent years, lumbrokinase has attracted significant attention due to its potential therapeutic applications. In traditional Chinese medicine, Lumbrokinase has been used for centuries to treat various cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Modern research has shown that Lumbrokinase is effective in conditions of blood clots and blood vessel function while also relieving pain and inflammation.

Nearly 30x more potent than other proteolytic enzymes - Lumbrokinase Enzymes utilizes a blend of fibrinolytic enzymes and proteases that work in a "seek and destroy" manner to help break down and remove proteins, such as fibrin, that don't belong there at a given site in the body. For individuals focused on optimal clotting, heart health, and healthy blood flow throughout the body while feeling renewed energy with this special formula with delayed-release technology.

Lumbrokinase is a complex enzyme preparation, its use has deep roots in traditional Eastern medicine, especially in China, Japan and Korea. This enzyme has been celebrated for its ability to stimulate blood flow, resolve stagnation, and unblock the body's meridians and channels, as described in the ancient Chinese text Ben Cao Gang Mu (Compendium of Chinese Botanical and Animal Products). Research on lumbrokinase has been extensive and global. Institutions in China, Japan, Korea, and the United States have conducted numerous studies that focused on its effectiveness in breaking down fibrin – a protein involved in blood clotting. This action helps improve blood flow and prevent clot formation, offering potential support in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke and myocardial infarction.

In this complex mixture of enzymes, the most important are plasminogen activators. These activators convert plasminogen into plasmin, an enzyme that breaks down fibrin, a protein involved in blood clotting. Thus, lumbrokinase has fibrinolytic properties and may help with conditions related to blood clots, such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and ischemic stroke. Additionally, ongoing research is investigating Lumbrokinase's potential for other conditions, such as chronic kidney disease and atherosclerosis. The idea of using earthworms for health is nothing new.

As early as the 16th century, Chinese practitioners relied on earthworms for their beneficial properties in supporting the cardiovascular system, blood circulation, and energy throughout the body.

Early practitioners used them in all kinds of mixtures – fried earthworms and herbs, dried earthworm powders, and even unrefined earthworm extracts.

Earthworms, which are still largely unknown today, are increasingly recognized by health experts for the enzymes they produce called lumbrokinase.

So why haven't you heard of them?

There are at least three reasons why lumbrokinase is not well known:

  • Most of their data is in Chinese and is inaccessible or poorly understood by non-Chinese practitioners.
  • Very few companies sell pure lumbrokinase, mainly from China, because they are expensive and hard to come by.
  • Pharmaceutical companies have not yet figured out a way to exploit and profit from them.

Also, lumbrokinase is not like other types of enzymes, especially the type you take to help digest food.

How Lumbrokinase Differs from Digestive Enzymes

Did you know that of the tens of thousands of different enzymes in your body, 99.99% of them have nothing to do with digestion?

Enzymes known as proteolytic or fibrinolytic enzymes are designed to break down proteins, but not just the proteins in your food.

When you take enzymes with food, they stay in your intestinal tract to digest the food.

However, when you take proteolytic enzymes between meals or when food is not in the stomach, they quickly enter the bloodstream. There, they help clean your blood and get to your tissues and organs.

These special enzymes work on a search-and-destroy mission to help break down and clean up proteins that don't belong there. So, when food is not present, their primary job is to seek out unwanted proteins in your body.

Fibrinolytic enzymes like lumbrokinase also help remove fibrin, a protein your body makes that can affect blood flow in your arteries and connective tissue.

Fibrin can affect the health of your heart and muscles, as well as the overall well-being of your entire body.

This is where the "Chinese secret" comes into play – a secret that the Chinese, Japanese and Koreans have held for thousands of years.

Chinese secret for healthy blood flow: Lumbrokinase enzymes

Lumbrokinase are complex enzymes that contain a bioactive protein that is responsible for their many potentially beneficial health properties.

This group of enzymes got its name after a Japanese doctor named H. Mihara and his colleagues extracted them from earthworm species in 1991.

Although earthworms have been used in traditional Chinese practice for thousands of years, it is only recently that earthworm fibrinolytic enzymes, or EFEs, have become available.

The researchers found that EFE is a mixture of six enzymes – all components of serine proteases with different fibrinolytic activities.

These EFEs, or lumbrokinase as it is called, are effective at breaking down and helping your body get rid of fibrin and other unwanted proteins.

So why is it important to help your body eliminate these types of unwanted proteins? Proteins that don't serve you well can prevent you from enjoying:

  • Optimal heart health and blood flow throughout the body.
  • Maximum comfort during activity and rest.
  • Feel energetic and "charged" every day, even when resting.
  • Healthy nutritional profile without mineral deficiencies.

By reducing unwanted proteins using proteolytic or fibrinolytic enzymes, you help support a healthy inflammatory response, healthy circulation, and vascular health throughout the body.

Almost 30 times more potent than other fibrinolytic enzymes

Several oral proteolytic enzymes are available today that can help break down fibrin and other unwanted proteins in your body.

These include pancreatic enzymes, bromelain, nattokinase, serrapeptase, and lumbrokinase.

How does lumbrokinase compare to these other proteolytic enzymes?

Of all the proteolytic enzymes, or protein-breaking enzymes, only serrapeptase and nattokinase resemble lumbrokinase in terms of fibrinolytic activity.

However, lumbrokinase is the "king" when it comes to strength because:

  • About 300 times more potent than serrapeptase, an enzyme extracted from silkworms.
  • Almost 30 times more potent than nattokinase, the notorious enzyme extracted from natto, or traditional Japanese fermented soybeans.

Here's something else that makes lumbrokinase stand out from the rest.

It has a built-in balancing mechanism that supports both fibrinolysis and fibrinogenesis. This means it can both break down and create fibrin depending on your body's needs. I believe this is probably what gives lumbrokinase such a great safety record in use and why it has been so helpful to so many people.

Our Lumbrokinase Enzymes formula is different. Each capsule of the unique blend of Fibrinolytic enzymes contains:

  • 2,000 FU of standardized activity, so you know exactly what you're getting, including
  • Lumbrokinase from the earthworms Eisenia foetida and Eisenia japonica
  • Protease for extra protein digestion ability and to enhance the action of lumbrokinase further in your gastrointestinal tract.

For many other lumbrokinase products, you have no idea about their enzymatic activity. There may be some, there may not be any.

If enzyme activity is not measured, you have no assurance that you are getting a high-quality and effective product.

Additionally, we use a delayed-release capsule to ensure that the lumbrokinase and protease enzymes reach your intestines where they are absorbed. With a regular capsule or pill, there is no guarantee that the enzymes will reach their destination.

Delayed release is an absolute must if you want to benefit from effective fibrinolytic activity throughout the body.

  1. What is the recommended use of the product?

Adults take one (1) capsule daily on an empty stomach as a dietary supplement.

  2. I take digestive enzymes. Do I also need Lumbrokinase enzymes?

Digestive and proteolytic enzymes work very differently, although you may see similar enzymes in both types of formulas. When you take digestive enzymes at mealtime, they go to work to help digest the food in your stomach. Proteolytic enzymes such as Lumbrokinase Enzymes are taken between meals when food is not present, digesting unwanted proteins such as fibrin that can affect blood flow, clotting, heart and muscle health. Lumbrokinase Enzymes do not digest carbohydrates or fats, so they are not suitable for use as digestive enzymes at mealtime.

  3. I am currently taking anticoagulant medication. Is it okay to take this product too?

WARNING: If you have a serious blood clotting condition or are taking anticoagulants such as Warfarin (Coumadin), do not use Lumbrokinase Enzymes and consult your doctor.

  4. Is it safe to consume during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

This product was not specifically developed for pregnant or breastfeeding women. We always recommend consulting your doctor before using a new dietary supplement.

Lumbrokinase - side effects

Lumbrokinase may cause mild side effects such as headache, dizziness, constipation, nausea, and sometimes diarrhea. These symptoms usually go away on their own once you stop using the supplement and usually do not require specific treatment. In rare cases, lumbrokinase may cause allergic reactions such as skin rashes or itching. If they appear, you should stop using the product immediately. If you have allergies to earthworms or other ingredients in the supplement, you should avoid lumbrokinase. People with bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia, or those taking blood thinners or antiplatelet medications should be cautious and consult a healthcare provider before use due to the increased risk of bleeding.
