Choosing your size
MMA gloves should fit snugly, almost like a second skin. Try them on with the wraps you use in training: your fingers must open freely, your fist must close firmly, and the glove mustn't twist on your hand.
FAQ
What's the difference between Slugger and Brawler?
Slugger gloves are leather, have a fully open thumb and are aimed at advanced fighters and pros. Brawler gloves are made from tough PU and suit all levels, including beginners.
Why is the thumb left free?
A free thumb gives your hand its full range of movement. In MMA you need it for grips, in the clinch and on the ground.
Can they handle bag work too?
Yes, Slugger gloves are designed for MMA and bag work. For long rounds of pure boxing, though, classic boxing gloves are a better choice.
Care
After training, undo the hook-and-loop strap and let the gloves air-dry rather than leaving them in a closed bag. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Radiators, direct sunlight and the washing machine are all bad for gloves.

Dutch combat sports gear since 1978
Super Pro started out in Rotterdam in 1978 as one of the first combat sports shops in the Netherlands. Today it is a European brand nicknamed “The Champion's Choice”, kitting out kickboxers, Muay Thai fighters, boxers and MMA athletes from their first session all the way to the professional ring.
In the late 1990s kickboxing coach Dennis Krauweel took over the brand and expanded it across Europe. The gloves are made in Thailand from Thai leather with multi-layer padding, and the gear is developed together with coaches and world champions. How to choose your size
For boxing gloves, the size in oz is the weight of one glove: choose by your body weight and try them on with hand wraps. For shin guards, go by shin length; for the head guard, by head circumference. Every product has its own size guide.
