Detailed information

Product detailed description

When you're racing at the edge of your limits, you need fuel that works — and doesn't wreck your stomach. Cadence Fuel Gel is an energy gel designed for long training sessions and endurance efforts. Each gel (44 g) delivers 24 g of carbohydrates in a dual fuel glucose-to-fructose formula at a 1:0.8 ratio, which studies show delivers 50 % more fuel, increases carbohydrate oxidation by 18 % and improves time trial performance by 8 % — thanks to optimised absorption through two separate transport mechanisms.

Alongside the carbohydrate formula, the gel provides 200 mg sodium plus key electrolytes — 20 mg potassium, 10 mg calcium and 5 mg magnesium — to support hydration and muscle function during exercise. Total energy content is 100 kcal per gel. The neutral flavour without pronounced sweetness eliminates taste fatigue even with repeated intake during a race.

The gel has a smooth consistency, opens easily even on the move and is gentle on the digestive system — thanks to a natural pectin and alginate base. Available individually (1×44 g) and in a 12-pack.

Cadence was created to translate elite capacity into everyday rituals of hydration. Founded in 2024 in New York by entrepreneur Ross MacKay (ex-Daring) and designer George Heaton (Represent), the brand champions simplicity, quality ingredients and precise electrolyte ratios—shaping a new, science-backed narrative around salt and its role in modern hydration. Water alone isn’t enough; Cadence sets out to optimise hydration without unnecessary extras.

Scientifically, Cadence works with sports nutrition advisor Matt Jones (Boston Celtics 2024 champions; Head of Nutrition, UAE FA), who guides formulas and education based on real-world sweat-rate analysis.

What sets Cadence apart

  • Evidence-based ratios: sodium, potassium and magnesium calibrated from research and applied practice.

  • Ritual over complexity: products built for morning rehydration, training and travel—no superfluous add-ons.

  • Advisor-led: collaboration with Matt Jones to keep formulas performance-oriented and science-led.
