Cluster dextrin® is a patented form of polysaccharide designed primarily for endurance sports. Why is glycogen in muscles important for endurance sports?
Glycogen is a reserve form of carbohydrates which the body uses for muscle work. The body is able to glycogen store in the liver and muscles . However, even these supplies are only in limited quantities. For intense and longer training, it is necessary to supply this energy to the muscles. A lack of carbohydrates during training leads to fatigue, exhaustion and weakness . Cluster Dextrin® is easily digestible carbohydrate , which is produced using a unique technology from corn starch. The result is a polysaccharide that is well absorbed, does not cause feelings of heavy stomach during training and provides energy that is released gradually .
