PULS Energy Gel in lemon delivers 24.2 g of carbohydrates and 97 kcal in a single 40 g sachet. The carbohydrates come from maltodextrin and fructose, so the gel is not cloyingly sweet and the lemon flavour still goes down after an hour of hard effort. The texture is deliberately thin – if you are pushing into the next climb, you can swallow it without chasing it with water. This version is caffeine free, so it also works for evening sessions.
